Lyrics

Crown Of Thorns

SOLID ROCK

CHORUS:
The foundation I’ll build
Upon the solid rock
My pathway to Jesus
Is soon not forgot
The stairway is there
For others to walk
The stairway to heaven
Upon the solid rock

The Lord is there to hold your hand
To lead you on to the promise land
The way is long and the path is narrow
Cast Satan out, be not of sorrow

CHORUS

That happy day when the angels sing
Their voices blend and their hearts will ring
I’ll leave this earth no more to sing
And be with my Jesus through eternity

CHORUS

TREASURES UNSEEN

My home may not look like a castle
And my clothes may be lacking in style
And if you come sit at my table
A meager supply you might find

CHORUS:
But, oh, it’s not what you see
That makes me a king,
Makes me a king
For to me I’ve everything,
All that I need, all that I need,
I’ve treasures unseen.

Now God made a world filled with beauty
Of things we enjoy every day
My secret to hidden possessions
Is to love Him and serve Him each day

CHORUS

STILL BLESSED

Sometimes I wake up in the morning
I see I've made it thru the night
I listen for my family...
Sure 'nuf, they're all right
As we gather round the table,
Bow our heads in thankfulness
With tear-filled eyes, my heart cries,
Still Blessed

CHORUS:
There's never a day He doesn't give me all I need
Even when I wake up to the storm,
My soul cries "Peace"
Sometimes I try to count them,
There’s too many I confess
So with arms upraised, I just say "Still Blessed"

Now I don't want to leave my family
I don't want to leave my friends
Oh, but lately I've been homesick
How I long just to be with Him
So in the morning should you find me
With my eyes closed in death
Oh what victory, what glory……Still Blessed

CHORUS

I JUST STEAL AWAY AND PRAY

Ev'ry time I do a deed I shouldn't do,
Ev'ry time I say a word I shouldn't say;
Let me tell you what I do and it brings a blessing, too,
I just steal away somewhere and pray.

CHORUS:
I just steal away,  (steal away and pray)
I just steal away,  (steal away and pray)
And I ask my blessed Lord to lead the way;
I just steal away,  (steal away and pray)
I just steal away,  (steal away and pray)
I just steal away somewhere and pray.
Oftentimes I'm made to bow my head in shame
At some idle thought or deed along life's way,
But I never am ashamed of my Savior's precious name,
I just steal away somewhere and pray.

CHORUS:
Christ, the Savior, always hears and answers pray'r,
And He gives me many blessings ev'ry day;
So when I have tried my best and I've failed to pass the test,
I just steal away somewhere and pray.
CHORUS

I’M ANXIOUS TO GO

My journey down here, is nearing the end
I’m blessed beyond measure, what a friend he has been
I’ve got friends and loved ones, they’re already there
They’re waiting to greet me in that city so fair

CHORUS:
Oh, I’m getting anxious, to move over there
No sickness, no sorrow, and never a care
I made preparations (Oooo) a long time ago
Inside there’s a longing, I’m anxious to go, anxious to go.

Each mile that I traveled, He has watched over me
Rewarded my labor, with a sweet family
And His Holy Spirit is keeping our souls
And will land us, each one, in that city of gold.

CHORUS:
Oh, I’m getting anxious, to move over there
No sickness, no sorrow, and never a care
I made preparations (Oooo) a long time ago
Inside there’s a longing, I’m anxious to go, getting anxious to go.

GOD’S DEAREST LAMB

A search was made in heaven
For one who could go
To redeem fallen man
It had to be as white as snow
But to die on the cross
Without uttering a sound
But none was found worthy,
But God’s Dearest Lamb

CHORUS:
Then Jesus said, I will go down,
Laid aside His robe and His crown
For none other in heaven was found
Worthy to be God’s Dearest Lamb

Oh, the heart of God was broken
When he thought no one could go
To rescue his children
Oh, he loved them so
Then a shout rang out in heaven
Saying Father I’ll go down
In the midst of Heaven’s splendor
Stood God’s Dearest Lamb

FOUR DAYS LATE

The news came to Jesus, Please come fast
Lazarus is sick and without your help, He will not last.
Mary and Martha watched their brother die
The waited for Jesus, But He did not come
And they wondered why.
The death watch was over, Buried four days
Somebody said, “He’ll soon be here, The Lord’s on His way.”
Martha ran to Him and then she cried
Lord, if you had been here, you could have healed him,
He’d still be alive.

But you’re four days late and all hope is gone
Lord we don’t understand why you waited so long.
But His way is God’s way, Not yours or mine
And isn’t it great when He’s four days late
He’s still on time

Jesus said Martha “Show me the grave”
But she said, “Lord, you don’t understand,
He’s been there four days”
The grave stone was rolled back
And then Jesus cried “Lazarus come forth”
Then somebody said, “He’s alive, He’s alive”

You may be fighting a battle of fear
You’ve cried to the Lord “I need you now”
But He has not appeared, Friend, don’t be discouraged
‘Cause He’s still the same
He’s coming soon, He’ll roll back the stone
And He’ll call out your name.

When He’s four days late and all hope is gone
Lord, we don’t understand why you waited so long
But His way is God’s way, not yours or mind
And isn’t it great, when He’s four days late
He’s still on time.

And isn’t it great, when He’s four days late,
He’s still on time!

I'VE GOT SO MUCH TO THANK HIM FOR

When I look (I look)....around and see
The good things (good things)....He does for me
I know....I'm unworthy of them all
But His blessings (blessings)He freely gives
I owe (I owe)....my life to Him
I've got so much (so much) to thank Him for.

CHORUS:
(Well) I've got so much to thank Him for
(Pause) So much to praise Him for
Well, you see, He has been so good to me
And when I think (I think) .... of what He's done
And where (and where)....He's brought me from
I've got so much (so much) to thank Him for.

And sometimes (sometimes)....while on this way
I kneel (I kneel)....andstop and say
Thank you For all you've done for me
And one day (one day)....I'll reach Heaven's shore
Oh, please (oh, please)....Let me kneel once more
I've got so much (so much)....to thank Him for.

CHORUS:

Yes, I've got so much to thank Him for
Thank you Lord

STAND AND BE COUNTED

Oh, were living in a battle
Fighting Satan on every hand
It seems this world is crumbling
As sin fills our land
But let’s go back to the family alter
And take up our shield and sword
As for me and my house we’ll serve the Lord.

CHORUS:
Cause, when the world is up against you
And it seems you’re on your own
Just remember that the God we serve
Is still on the throne.
Let’s take a stand and be counted
We’ll be silent no more
As for me and my house we’ll serve the Lord.

Oh the waves of life are crashing
And they’re tossing to and fro
The church, we must be steady
Until we reach that goal
And like ole Joshua once challenged
We must choose whom we will serve
As for me and my house we’ll serve the Lord.

CHORUS

WHERE THE ROSES NEVER FADE

I am going to a city,
Where the streets with gold are laid;
Where the tree of life is blooming
And the roses never fade.

CHORUS:
Here they bloom but for a season
Soon their beauty is decayed.
I am going to a city,
Where the roses never fade.
In this world we have our troubles,
Satan snares we must evade.
We'll be free from all temptations;
Where the roses never fade.

CHORUS:
Loved ones gone to be with Jesus,
In their robes of white arrayed;
Now are waiting for my coming,
Where the roses never fade.
CHORUS

CROWN OF THORNS

Nailed to a cross, suffered their scorn
His hands were pierced, His back was torn
On His shoulders, my sins He bore
He wore a crown, a crown of thorns.

CHORUS:
A crown of thorns, His diadem
My Savior, King, hung condemned
His brow ran red, for me He bled
A crown of thorns was on His head.

They mocked His name, His Royalty
He bore the shame, that was meant for me
My cloak of sin, His flesh adorned
He wore a crown, my crown of thorns.

I offer Him my everything,
I crown Him now, My Lord and King
In majesty, one glorious morn
The crown He’ll wear
Will have no thorns.

CHORUS:

His brow ran red, for me He bled
A crown of thorns was on His head.

SWEET BY AND BY

There’s a land that is fairer than day,
And by faith we can see it afar
For the Father waits over the way
To prepare us a dwelling place there.

CHORUS:
In the sweet by and by
We shall meet on that beautiful shore
In the sweet by and by
We shall meet on that beautiful shore.

We shall sing on that beautiful shore
The melodious songs of the blest
And our spirits shall sorrow no more,
Not a sigh for the blessing of the rest.

CHORUS:

To our bountiful Father above
We will offer our tribute of praise,
For the glorious gift of His love
And the blessings that hallow our days.

I’m Going Through

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT JESUS

Let me tell you about Jesus
And what he's done for me
How he saved a poor lost sinner
Now my soul has been set free.

He has given many blessings
Caused my heart to overflow
And I know he watches o'er me
Walks with me where e'er I go.

On the days I'm in the valley
And my load's so hard to bear
I just lift my eyes to Jesus
And I go to Him in prayer.

What a miracle we were given
Some 2000 years ago
God the Father sent Him to us
All because He loved us so.

I'VE COME TOO FAR

I've come too far to look back again
There is nothing behind me
All the treasures I used to love
Have all faded from view
There's a new day ahead for me
All my heartache is over
For I left it at Calvary
Where my new life began

CHORUS
I've come too far to look back
My feet have walked through the valley
I've climbed mountains, crossed rivers
Desert places I've known
But I'm nearing the home shore
The redeemed are rejoicing
Heaven's angels are singing
I've come too far to look back.

Look around there's no happiness
No reason for living
Life will give you a broken dream
Full of sorrow and fear
Turn around, don't look back again
Face the new day before you
Place your heartache in Jesus' hand
He can mend broken dreams

CAN YOU IMAGINE

Someday the Lord will descend
From His home on high
He will appear with His angel band
In the twinkling of an eye
He’ll carry all His believers
To the sweet by and by
Can you imagine, imagine to be left behind

CHORUS
Can you imagine the pain
Our Savior bore on that day
From the old rugged cross
To the tomb where he lay
How He died for you and me,
So that we could be saved
Can you imagine, imagine
The price that he paid

Oh what a sight it will be
To see that eastern gate
To enter in, see the beauty
And to look on His face
I want to walk with Mom and Dad
Down that shining path
Can you imagine, imagine to be home at last.

YOU DON’T LOVE GOD
IF YOU DON’T LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR

There are many people who will say they’re Christians
And they live like Christians on the Sabbath Day,
But come Monday morning till the coming Sunday,
They will fight their neighbor all along the way.

CHORUS
Oh, you don’t love God
If you don’t love your neighbor
If you gossip about him, if you never have mercy,
If he gets into trouble and you don’t try to help him,
Then you don’t love your neighbor and you don’t love God.

In the Holy Bible, in the book of Matthew,
Read the 18th chapter and the 21st verse,
Jesus plainly tells us that we must have mercy,
There’s a special warning in the 35th verse.

CHORUS

There’s a God all mighty and you’ve got to love Him,
If you want salvation and a home on high,
If you say you love Him while you hate your neighbor,
Then you don’t have salvation, you just told a lie.

MY HOMEWARD JOURNEY

Like a pilgrim here I travel
On my lonely journey homeward
By the tempter, I am sorely distressed
But I’m looking unto Jesus
He is able to deliver
He will give me blessed comfort and rest.

CHORUS
I am on my homeward journey
And sometimes I am so weary and blue
As I travel on my journey
Many trials I must daily go through
But I know that o’er the river
Saints and angels are awaiting me there
They will greet me with a welcome
Into Heaven’s lovely city so fair.

Many sorrows overtake me
And my dearest friends forsake me
But from Jesus I shall never more stray
For He ever walks beside me
Loves, protects and safely guides me
As I journey on this Heavenly way.

IN HIS ARMS I'M NOT AFRAID

When I close my eyes in death,
Fold my hands across my chest.
Sing for me a pretty song
While I take my journey home.

CHORUS:
Not afraid to bid this world good-bye.
Not afraid to close my eyes and die.
For His courage I have prayed.
In His arms I'm not afraid.

When I cross that silent sea
And those home lights beckon me.
I'll feel no pain, I'll fear no harm.
Safe, secure in Jesus' arms.

THE NEXT TIME THAT YOU SEE ME

I’m ready to move to Heaven
To a land that’s fair and bright
Where there is perfect peace
In that everlasting life
Jesus has gone to build for me
A mansion there I know
For the next time you see me
I may be living in my heavenly home

CHORUS
The next time that you see me
Maybe on streets of gold
The next time that you see me
I may be wearing a brand new robe
Maybe kneeling at his feet
Or shaking His nail scarred hand
The next time that you see me
I may be living in gloryland

You may come to visit me
And knock upon my door
You may not get an answer
I won’t be living there anymore
I’m just here for a short while
And then I’ll soon be gone
For the next time that you see me
I maybe living in my brand new home

         TAG
Maybe kneeling at his feet
Or shaking His nail scarred hand
The next time that you see me
I may be living in gloryland

I’M GOING THROUGH

Lord, I have started to walk in the Light
Shining upon me from heaven so bright
I bade the world and his follies ado
I started in Jesus and I’m going through.

CHORUS
I’m going through, yes, I’m going through
I’ll pay the price whatever others do
I’ll take the way with the Lord’s despised few
I’m going through Jesus, yes, I’m going through.

Oh, there are many who start in the race
But with the light refuse to keep pace
Others accept it because it is new
But not very many expect to go through.

I’d rather walk with Jesus alone
Have for a pillow, like Jacob, a stone
Living each moment with his face in view
Than strength from my pathway and fail to go through

DO YOU WANT TO LIVE IN GLORY

CHORUS
Do you want to live in glory (up in glory)
Oh dear friend, forevermore (forevermore)
Do you want a life eternal (life eternal)
Somewhere on that golden shore

Many times I sat there crying
As a friend was passing on
But all those times he gave me comfort
And the strength to carry on

From this world of pain and sorrow
To that golden promised land
There I'll go now Lord tomorrow
I know God will hold my hand

As my time on earth grow shorter
I'll not fear that last long day
For a better home awaits me
And sweet Jesus leads the way

MY HOME

It’s a long and dusty road
That my feet, they are traveling on
And sometimes, oh, the clouds are dark and low
Oh, but I’ve got, I’ve got to keep the faith
And walk that straight and the narrow way
To reach that place that I will call my home.

CHORUS
For my home is just around the bend
I think about it now and then
Reunions by the millions everywhere
But the One that I so long to see
Is the One who bled and died for me
My home, my home, a place I long to be.

Now so many hold this old world so dear
But I am just a stranger here
Just passing through on a temporary stay
But I’m looking forward to the time
When all of Heaven, it will be mine
I’ll watch and pray, for it could be just any day.

But the One that I so long to see
Is the One who bled and died for me
My home, my home, a place I long to be.

SOME CALL IT HEAVEN, I CALL IT HOME

Somewhere beyond the grave
There is a land
That Jesus went to prepare
By His own hand.
And for the Saved by Grace,
There is a resting place
And in a few more days
It will be mine.

CHORUS
Some call it Heaven, I call it home.
Some call it dreaming, well, let me dream on.
Some call it Paradise, somewhere beyond the skies.
Some call it Heaven, I call it home.

Someone said you can't go
Back home again
And things will not ever be
As good as they've been.
Well, I've got good news for you,
When Heaven comes into view,
One glimpse and you'll know the best
Is yet to come.

HALLELUJAH, HE'S RISEN

One Friday morning
In Jerusalem
The weight of my sins were
All cast upon Him
And freely He bore them,
Taking my shame
And proving He loved me
Praise His Holy Name!

Then one Sunday morning
At the breaking of day
Mary and Martha
Found the stone rolled away
And death held no victory
Over God's Son
Hallelujah, He's risen,
The battle is won!

CHORUS 2x
Hallelujah, He's risen
Mary has seen Him
He's alive and walking
On Galilee's shore
Hallelujah, He's risen
For Thomas has touched Him
He's risen to live forevermore.
He's risen to live, forevermore.
He's risen to live forevermore.
He's risen to live, forevermore.

Let’s Meet By The River

I CAN CALL JESUS ANYTIME

When I get in trouble...fighting for the right
Well you know, I can call Jesus anytime
When I get discouraged...He will lead me on
Well you know, I can call Jesus anytime

CHORUS:
You know I can call Jesus anytime…oh yes, I can
You know He, He is always on the line
You know He is King Almighty
You know Lord God is His name
Well you know I can call Jesus anytime

When the storm is raging...and the billows roll
Well you know, I can call Jesus anytime
When my heart is heavy...and my spirits low
Well you know, I can call Jesus anytime

NO OTHER FOUNTAIN

I will draw my strength from Jesus
As I lay upon His breast
I will take my comfort from Him
I will find in Him my rest

CHORUS:
For there is no other fountain
Where I can be more satisfied
Than in the arms of Christ my Savior
No blessing I will be denied

All pain will leave my aching body
As His sweet healing virtues flow
And demons tremble in His presence
In Jesus' name they have to go

WE WELCOME THE BRIDE

I’ve often said, “I’d like to be living…”
When Gabriel receives his orders from God
Step out on the cloud, start blowing your trumpet
It’s time for my own…to come out of the sod

At the sound of His voice…the earth will stop turning
He’ll roll back the sky, with the touch of His hand
In a moment of time, the veil will be lifted
For the first time His children…will view Canaan’s land

CHORUS:
And the angels sang “Holy” the bridegroom descended
To catch up the faithful, for which he had died
The banquet is waiting, it’s time for the wedding
And the angels sing “Holy” we welcome the bride

From out of the grave…a glorified body
Arrayed in white garments and leaving for home
I can feel gravitation…in the air all around me
And the angels are singing the going up song

ON HEAVEN’S BRIGHT SHORE

Out on the hills of Glory Land
So happy and free at God’s right hand
They tell of a place of marvelous grace
On heaven’s bright shore.
Pilgrims on earth someday will go
To live in that home forever more
Trusting in him who died for sin
And rose from the grave.

CHORUS:
On Heaven’s Bright Shore,
There’s gonna be no more dying
Not one little grave,
In all that fair land,
Not even a tear will dim the eye,
No one up there will say goodbye
Just singing his Praise through endless days
On Heaven’s bright shore.

When I must cross that rolling tide,
There’ll be someone on the other side
Welcoming me to that fair land
Made perfect by love
When I walk up the Milky White Way
See that homecoming in array
How great it must be for angels to see
A pilgrim reach home.

STANDING ON THE SOLID ROCK

Thru my disappointments, strife and discontentment,
I cast my ev-'ry care on the Lord;
No matter what obsession, pain or deep depression,
I'm standing on the Solid Rock

CHORUS:
I'm standing on the Rock of Ages
Safe from all the storm that rages
Rich but not from Satan's wages
I'm standing on the Solid Rock

Even tho' He's gone now, I don't feel alone now,
with comfort came the Spirit of the Lord;
Now with His word to guide me,
From temptations hide me,
I'm standing on the Solid Rock

Now I'm pressing onward,
Each step leads me homeward,
I'm trusting in my Savior day by day;
And close is our relation,
Firm is it's foundation,
So on this Solid Rock I'll stay

HE IS I AM

He came unto His own, His own received Him not
The Word inside a body, a Lamb without a spot
He tried and tried to tell them, He said "I am the Way"
But they couldn't understand, how that He could say

"I am the Son of God, I am the vine
I am, the Good Shepherd, and I know which are mine.
I am the light, with you I will be"
When they asked if He was Jesus, He said, "I am He".

CHORUS:
He is I Am...... He is I Am...... He is I Am
But I am nothing without Him
Moses on the mountain, questioned God to say
Who shall I say sent me, What is your name?
He said, "go tell them, I Am sent you
And know that I'll be with you, and I'll show you what to do."
CHORUS:

He is the resurrection, He is the way
He said "that I'll be with you" and He still is today

BE NOT AFRAID

Tossed to and fro, the disciples were fearing
For their very life, they were lost out at sea
High winds were raging, waves all around them
Then a voice spoke, “Fear not, be at ease”

CHORUS:
Be not afraid .... it's only the Master
Calming the storm ... removing all harm
Be of good cheer. ... your Savior’s here now
So be of good faith, for I’m here to stay
Be not afraid

He came to them walking on water and talking
Tho they had known Him, yet they were afraid
Then Jesus spoke gently, “Lo I am with thee”
He seized the winds and He settled the waves

WHEN THE SUN OF MY LIFE GOES DOWN

When my labor here is over at last
And I lay these burdens down
I'll sail away home to heaven above
For my Savior I have found
I'll lay these burdens down at His feet
And exchange them for a crown
I'll leave this world of trouble and sorrow
When the sun of my life goes down

CHORUS:
Oh Lord, I know, I'm living on higher ground
I know, because, in my heart's true love I've found
And when, I hear, Gabriel's trumpet loudly sound
I'll leave this world of trouble and sorrow
When the sun of my life goes down

To this changing world I'll bid farewell
When I hear that trumpet sound
I'll sail away home to heaven above
For my Savior I have found
I've made my plans, I'm ready to go
I'll wear a robe and crown
There to meet my friends and loved ones up yonder
When the sun of my life goes down

HIS EYE IS ON THE SPARROW

Why should I feel discouraged
Why should the shadows come
Why should my heart be lonely
And long for heaven and home

When Jesus is my portion
A constant friend is he
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know he watches me

CHORUS:
I sing because I’m happy
I sing because I’m free
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know he watches me

Let not your heart be troubled
His tender word I hear
And resting on his goodness
Oh, I lose my doubts and fears

Though by the path he leadeth
Though one step I may see
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know he watches me

WHAT WAS THAT YOU SAID LORD?

Paul was a man…the Lord could use
To see God's way…he did not choose
But the Lord helped him...to change his mind
And he saw much better-when He struck him blind

CHORUS
What was that you said Lord? (Repeat)
Are you talking to me? (Repeat)
Seems the blinder I get…the better I see
Won't you tell me again…and I'll do it this time
For I see much better…since you struck me blind

Well the Lord told Jonah…to preach His word
Yet it seemed as though…he never heard
But it's mighty dark...inside a whale
But when he got out…you shoulda heard him yell

BATTLE SCARRED SOLDIER

CHORUS:
Open your eyes you battle scarred soldier
We're closer than ever before
He may appear before a new dawning
His coming is nigh at the door

Men will be lovers of self
More than lovers of God
Filled with faint pride
Worldly pleasures have drawn them away
But if we're his children
We must feel the chastening rod
For those that he loves
He will teach them to trust and obey

Some people believe
That his coming is still far away
They often grow weary
And so often they lay down their load
But just up ahead are the signs
Of a much brighter day
Don't lay down the cross child
We’re too near the end of the road

LET’S MEET BY THE RIVER

I've read of a city John saw coming down
From God out of Heaven
The walls are of jasper, the gates are of pearl,
And streets of pure gold
He tells of a pure river of life
That flows from the throne
And when we have reached that beautiful place,
We’ll know as we're known

CHORUS:
Let's meet by the river over on that beautiful shore
Let's meet by the river where loved ones dwell who've gone on before
If you leave here first, just wait by the river
If I leave you here, that's where you'll find me
Let's meet by the river over on that beautiful shore

If you leave me standing here on this earth, just wait by the river
It's such a good place for us to meet over there,
And after I find you, let's go see Jesus
Then let's go find our Dad and our Mother
Let's meet by the river over on that beautiful shore

Long, Long Journey

I’M NOT PERFECT, JUST FORGIVEN

CHORUS
No, I’m not perfect, just forgiven
Haven’t yet arrived, but I’m on my way
Since Jesus saved me and forgave me
Can’t say I’m perfect, but I can say I’m saved.

There are times I‘d like to see the look on ol’ Satan’s face
When I refuse his sinful offer and say, “No thanks, I’m saved,”
Well, he knows as well as I do that I’m not what I used to be
Thank God there’s been a difference since Jesus set me free.

CHORUS

We’ve fought a lot of battles, and sometimes when I’ve won
Satan comes reminding me of some past wrong I’ve done
Well, he questions my salvation and he tries to make me doubt,
But when I think of Calvary, I can stand right up and shout.

THERE’S NO OTHER WAY

Some people will tell you when this life is through
There’s no life hereafter what ever you do
But God has the answer beyond the dark grave
Through Jesus at Calvary, there’s no other way.

CHORUS
There’s no other Savior but Jesus the Lord
No plan of salvation but God’s Holy Word
There’s no other power sufficient to save,
Just Jesus at Calvary, there’s no other way.

God’s love is a treasure that money can’t buy
The promise of heaven at home in the sky
That price of redemption is already paid
Through Jesus at Calvary, there’s no other way.

THANK YOU, LORD

I’ve been on my knees
Sending up my pleas
I’ve been bending low
Lord, I want to go

CHORUS
Lord, oh Lord, I want to go to Heaven
Hell is an awful, awful place
In the Book the promise was given
I was saved by amazing grace
Thank you Lord, Thank you Lord
For saving my soul
Thank you Lord, Thank you Lord
For making me whole
Lord, oh Lord, I want to go to Heaven
Hell is an awful, awful place.

When I cease to roam
Jesus, take me home
Far beyond the setting sun
When my race is run.

BOUGHT BY THE BLOOD

Jesus came down from Heaven above
He left his home in Glory on high
He came to this world to do the will of His Father
By love was bound to die.

CHORUS
And oh what a joy (and oh what a joy)
It is to serve Him
I was dead, but He gave me life
And some day I'll stand (yes someday I'll stand)
In that beautiful city
Bought by the blood that flowed from His side.

My Savior died on a Roman cross
That stood on Calvary
But it wasn't the nails that held Him there
It was the love that He had for me.

Chorus

Jesus was buried in a borrowed tomb
He didn't need it but just a little while
For on the third day, My Savior arose
Brought to us Eternal life.

WHO DO YOU THINK?

There are people who are whispering
And the rumors are running wild
There's a woman, who's not married
But she's gonna have a child
Her name is Mary, she's a virgin
From down in Nazareth, now listen close
She's gonna marry a man named Joseph
but the baby's Father is the Holy Ghost

CHORUS
Who do you think could believe such a thing
Could believe that this story is true
And who do you think could believe such a thing
Well here's hoping to heaven you do

Now they’re saying she had the baby
In a barn in Bethlehem
And some stars moved round in heaven
Till it stopped right over them
Then some shepherds said an angel
Came and told them about the birth
They always knew men went to heaven
But now God had come to earth

FISHERS OF MEN

Rise and follow me, I’ll make you worthy
Rise and follow me, I’ll make you fishers of men
Rise and follow me, I’ll make you worthy
Rise and follow me, I’ll make you fishers of men

Peter, John, and James
Could never be the same
After they heard him say
I’ll make you fishers of men

He said…
Rise and follow me, I’ll make you worthy
Rise and follow me, I’ll make you fishers of men
He said…
Rise and follow me, I’ll make you worthy
Rise and follow me, I’ll make you fishers of men

Cast your nets aside
And join the battle tide
He will be your guide
To make you fishers of men

Chorus

Jesus bore the cross
To gather in the lost
Oh what a might cost
To set us free from sin

THE LONG, LONG JOURNEY

Oh, they tell me I am going
On a long, long journey
A journey through the stars and through the skies
Where the bells will be ringing
And the angels will be singing
As I enter my home on high

CHORUS
There’ll be heartaches and sorrows as I travel along
There’ll be roses and sunshine sometimes
It’s been a long, long journey
Lord, but now I don’t mind
For heaven will then be mine.

It won’t be goodbye where you’ll be going
On the same long journey
But you’ll have to travel alone
Your friends will all be there to meet you
Jesus will be there to greet you
As you enter your home sweet home.

I MADE IT BY GRACE

I live each day in victory
Because of the one who lives in me
I found every promise he ever made, Jesus will keep
Walk by my side in desert stride
Loved me and held me when I cried
Oh, let me sing you one more song in case I leave.

CHORUS
I know how I made it (I know how I made it)
I made it by grace (God’s amazing grace)
Steps that are slow, I know I’ve taken each one by faith
Standing on Jordan’s stormy shore
I lift my trembling voice once more.
I know how I made it (I know how I made it)
I made it by grace (God’s amazing grace)

God’s children are leaving one by one
Passing this way and going home
Signs of the time reveal we don’t have very long
But each one who stands upon this shore
Waving goodbye as they rejoice
Glory to God we’ll leave here singing that same sweet song.

CHORUS
I know how I made it (I know how I made it)
I made it by grace (God’s amazing grace)
Steps that are slow, I know I’ve taken each one by faith
Standing on Jordan’s stormy shore
I lift my trembling voice once more.
I know how I made it (I know how I made it)
I made it by God’s amazing grace.

STAND STILL

The Father has a plan, though it’s hard to see it now
You feel you’re walking all alone, He is there, no doubt
When the storm around you rages,
And you’re tossed to and fro
When you’re faced with life’s decisions,
Not sure which way to go

Stand Still, and let God move
Standing still is hard to do
When you feel you have reached the end
He’ll make a way for you
Stand Still, and let God move

When the enemy surrounds you
And walls are closing in
When the tide is swiftly rising
And you wonder where he’s been
Friend, there never was a moment
That his arms were reaching out
You can rest assure, and be secure
God is moving right now

Chorus

When you feel you have reached the end
He’ll make a way for you
Stand Still, and let God move

The answer will come, but only in his time
Stand Still, and let God move, Stand Still, and let God move

LORD, ITS JUST ANOTHER HILL

CHORUS:
Lord, it's just another hill that I'm climbing
Lord, it's just another tear you'll wipe away
If I can just hold on a little longer
I'll be rejoicing in heaven some day.

Every storm seems to be a little darker
And every burden seems to weigh a little more
And every river seems to be a little wider
But I feel I'm getting closer to the shore

CHORUS

Often trials and troubles gather 'round me
And it seems I'm in this valley all alone
Then I can feel the angels camping all around me
Then I know that I'm not far away from home.

WHILE THE ANGELS HOVER ROUND

When my soul is bowed in sorrow (bowed in sorrow)
And my anguish is profound (profound)
I have hope for that tomorrow (that tomorrow)
While the angels hover round (angels hover round)
CHORUS:
Though my strength may now be fading (faintly fading)
Still my soul is Heaven bound (is Heaven bound) Oh, with Jesus I am sailing (safely sailing)
While the angels hover round (angels hover round)
When I cross death's silent river (silent river)
To a land where joys abound (abound)
I shall dwell in peace forever (peace forever)
While the angels hover round (angels hover round)

WHAT HEAVEN MEANS TO ME

A country where no twilight shadows deepen
Unending day where night will never be
A city where no storm clouds ever gather
Oh, this is just what Heaven means to me

CHORUS
What will it be when we get over yonder
And join the throng upon the glassy sea
To join our loved ones and crown Christ forever
Oh, this is just what Heaven means to me

A place where there is no misunderstanding
And from all enmity and strife we're free
No unkind words to wound the heart are spoken
Oh, this is just what heaven means to me

And when at last I see the face of Jesus
Before whose image others loved falsely
And when they crown Him Lord of Lords, I'll be there
Oh, this is just what Heaven means to me
